Kellogg’s Waale Guptaji Ki Family

I sincerely did not know that one can eat corn flakes in these many different ways. When I visited the Facebook page I got awestruck with the number of mind blowing recipes. I have heard before about Kellogg's corn flakes when my sister went on diet mode. But if there are such awesome recipes then I would like to turn to corn flakes for breakfast and snacks.

The recipes are very tasty and very easy and fast to prepare. The first recipe I checked out was 'Passing the Parcel Wala Nashta'. I never imagined that it will taste such heavenly. It was a very simple recipe with corn flakes, custard apple pulp and cold milk. I am a Maharashtrian and you may know one evening snack which we love the most is 'Chivda' and guess what Guptaji has a recipe for that too. I seriously never dreamed that I would eat chivda made up of corn flakes one day. The number of ingredients are many but directions are very easy at the same time. But one can take some efforts to gather the ingredients if he really cares about his evening 'nashta'.

The next recipe I checked was just unbelievable: 'First Crush Wala Nashta'. If we start preparing these recipes and become like Guptaji, I don't think anyone will stop coming to our houses. One can really impress a girl if he prepares this dish. The recipe made me believe that one can really lose his weight in the most healthy manner if starts eating kellogg's corn flakes dishes. Name of the next recipe was 'Jagah Banane Wala Nashta' in which we can include strawberries and banana slices. Inclusion of fruits make the dish delicious and our life healthier. The youth is crazy about junk food and when we go out for a movie or outing we always need those salty or caramel popcorn in our hands. Next recipe I checked out was 'Movie Wala Nashta'. One can prepare delicious cornflake popcorn clusters at home. Now we can also visit Guptaji's family with our parents because Kellogg has developed recipes for each and everyone.

I checked out few recipes and already started deciding which recipe to prepare first. Hence I would like to visit Guptaji's house with my entire family so that my mother can find out about those awesome recipes. My sister can take her diet challenge more seriously and with double enthusiasm when she will get to know that she can still eat awesome food with kellogg's corn flakes recipes. I want my dad just to relax and enjoy the delicious dishes. And what I want to do will blow your mind. I would like to enjoy those hundred recipes one by one and want to trouble my mind to invent the hundred and first recipe.

Coca-Cola International Day of Happiness

The topic is nothing but to tell about those single things which make us happy. In fact this is the key of happy life to find happiness in small small things and not to worry much about the sad part.

So as this is Coca-Cola International Day of Happiness I would first start with Coke studio. Whenever I feel sad, bored, frustrated and many such worthless emotions I go to my collection of Coke studio videos and start listening one of the great compositions of the decade by ARR, Amit Trivedi, Salim Sulaiman etc. It gives me immense happiness and I can easily start my next work after listening four-five songs. I really appreciate the efforts by Coke which is increasing the number of quality music listeners not only in India but all over the world.

One more thing I do very often which gives me happiness and right now I am doing it: blogging. It gives me opportunity to speak out with maximum effect and in the most silent way and the happiness when we receive positive feedback from readers is priceless. I started blogging nearly two years back and have successfully writer seven short stories for which I received overwhelmingly positive response. Similar to blogging, I keep reading great blogs from the Indiblogger directory and it gives me motivation to write more and also it makes my mind to think more and more for the unique ideas.

Reading is one of those small things which I do regularly which keeps me happy always. I always feel like one life is not at all enough to read all the great authors. I started reading English literature with the books by Sidney Sheldon, Jefferey Archer, Dan Brown etc. And right now I am reading Ken Follet and Ayn Rand. It is such a pleasure to have reading as a hobby.

From my childhood I always wanted to wander and visit different places. Though it is not a small thing but whenever I get time I go for two days treks or trips on weekends to find that happiness in the busy weekdays life. The curiosity and happiness to visit new places keep me engaged in my weekdays work happily and I never feel bored.

Last but not the least thing is watching English, Hindi and Marathi movies and English serials. I always wonder how these directors and script writers in USA always manage to come up with great stories which keep you engaged till the last episode of the last season. I started with the genres like humor, comedy, and crime. Serials like Castle, Homeland, The Big Bang Theory, and  Friends are my all time favorites.

One things should not be ignored and that is to go for a Coke break with friends during the small breaks between lectures. Coke is such an awesome beverage which makes the bonding between friends stronger and stronger.

Housing.com : Together

I really started looking up at housing for giving us these opportunities again and again to recall the best memories in our lives and look up to the future with optimism. Whenever I recall a family get together where I learned so much our trip to Jammu nod Kashmir comes to my mind. It was a hectic trip planned as one cannot guarantee whether we will really get an another chance to visit heaven on earth - the Kashmir valley.

The challenges and fun started on the day 1 which was one of the most memorable days. Our first day was scheduled at Katra in Jammu to visit the temple of goddess Vaishnodevi. We couldn't get helicopter rides for round trip and we decided to climb the mountain and make the trip to the temple worth. Helicopter ride was ready for the return journey. As we had inquired before taking any decision our friends told us that it takes around 5 hours to climb the Vaishnodevi mountain. We started with full enthusiasm and maximum optimism. But the distance was too far. First two hours went into chit-chatting and we couldn't feel the distance. But slowly slowly my father, uncle, and aunt started feeling tired and dizzy. But they never felt like giving up at any point. The options like horse riding, hiring four-five people to bring you up there in a wooden open box which is called 'doley' in Hindi were always tempting to give up. But we reached at the temple at top only with the help of optimism.

After the adventure and receiving more satisfaction than our efforts at Vaishnodevi, we headed for Kashmir valley and we got stunned by the beauty it is hiding inside. All the towns and cities in Kashmir were simple beautiful. One cannot visit Kashmir without facing any obstacles. But when I saw the heights of mountains in Kashmir valley I felt for the first time that I want to achieve something in my life. I want to live my dreams not only for myself but for my family so that we can have such family gatherings again and again in different parts of the world. The knowledge of my dad and my uncles and their presence of minds to handle small problems made me awestruck and gave me a full bag of brains how to look up to this life and make maximum out of it.

It wasn't a day of family get-together but it was a one week trip where I rediscovered how to live this life with optimism can witness the heaven on earth. We ended our trip by visiting the Jammu city and did some shopping for our family and friends. When I came to my home in Mumbai which is a city of dreams I recalled my sweet memories of Kashmir trip which taught me it is not enough to only see dreams but we have to achieve them and make them a reality with optimism!

Housing.com: Start A New Life

It is such a nice opportunity to speak out which is given by housing.com about what we did in our life to overcome the challenges and obstacles we faced. There are quite a few bold decisions I have taken in my life which changed my life completely and gave it a different direction every time.

I always dreamed of going to an IIT to do engineering. I was very passionate about it. I always loved Mathematics and was decent in Physics but was totally bad in Chemistry which stopped me from getting selected in the first attempt. But I was very adamant to do engineering only in national colleges and was not ready to compromise on it though I was getting an admission into one of the top colleges in Mumbai. There I took the first bold decision of my life to go for the second attempt for JEE - Joint Entrance Exam for all IITs. I studied day and night and covered each and every topic. But somehow Chemistry killed my chances again and I joined National Institute of Technology, Trichy.

When I completed my first semester I was equally excited about engineering as I was before but when actually core subjects started coming into the picture I felt the whole engineering very much theoretically than experimental and I started losing my interest. But there were quite a few technical clubs in college like robotics and aerodynamics etc. but at the same time there were equally bright opportunities like marketing and entrepreneurship teams of our cultural and technical festivals. The second bold decision I took in my second year of engineering when I chose marketing team over technical clubs which totally changed the direction of my career. I came to know from my seniors that if I choose to go for marketing team then core companies which come for placements will definitely question my interest in engineering and I will be ending my chances to join a core company. So it was a calculated risk. I realized that there are equally good opportunities in the field of marketing and later I can even do MBA. So it was the bold step of my life as I always dreamed of doing engineering in a national college and now I am totally into marketing which totally changed the picture of my career.

Later in my final year of engineering I got placed in a management company through campus placements. But again, few more bold decisions are going to be taken in my life. Like I got the awareness about entrepreneurship. The thrill and risks one should take and the fun and satisfaction in opening a startup caught my attention and I am looking forward to open a startup in the field of marketing in future. As housing.com is also a startup and I get inspiration from the story of housing as they took some bold decisions which changed their lives and I would like to follow the same path.

My Look Up Story

This not a single moment but it happened several times and each and every time I felt very proud and I got so much positivity about my future that I can also do something big and unique in life. I remember when I was in sixth standard I got selected in the drama team of our school which was quite popular in the city as we used to open for inter collegiate drama competitions. We even participate in National level drama competition for schools which happened in Cuttak, Orissa and we came first in all the teams came from all the Indian states. Then we started getting invitations from several drama or other organizations to perform in their annual functions.

At once such time our group was invited to perform in an inaugural ceremony of a central library in our city, Thane and we gladly went there and performed. My father was sitting in the audience watching our play nth number of times but that day it was different. Very senior level people who were teachers, principles in schools had come to watch our play. And as I was playing an important role they were showering praise on me. My  father felt so proud of me. The library was nearby my house and we decided to walk to go back to home. That day first time I heard the story of my dad, his education, struggle, upbringing and what not!

My dad was from a farmer’s family and his grandfather was one of the successful farmers in his town. But then my grandfather didn’t follow my great grandfather in farming and became an accountant and started doing it for shops, small ventures etc. But money wasn’t good in the field of accounting at that time of around 1960 to 1990. One day my grandfather got an opportunity to come to Mumbai to take an account contract of a dairy farm. Then my dad got an exposure in a well established city and he finished his higher secondary school in Mumbai. My dad has 4 sisters and he was the only earning male after my grandfather passed away. So my dad joined a company after his 12th and he was doing his degree course side by side. His schedule used to be pretty tight. He used to work in that company from morning 7 to 4 and then he had to travel to a place called Dadar at 5 in the evening to attend classes for banking exams. It was a year of hardship and dedication. Finally he got a job in a bank and our financial conditions started improving. It was and still is such a motivating story for me as he always made sure that I always get all the facilities which he missed to complete my eduction and build a right career for me. Thank you dad!
